Change and Innovation Through Brainstorming Training Video

There hasn't been a new training video that I have been excited about for awhile.  However,in mid January Media Partners released a new video called Change and Innovation Through Brainstorming and it centers around change management and motivation.  There isn't another video out there like it.  It is meant to be used in any meeting to generate new ideas and the host, renowned speaker/comedian, John Sweeney puts on a high energy, engaging show.  Most companies now are going through rapid change whether it is their products, downsizing, or changing their business model.  This new video will make a great impact on both managers and employees and will help any organization generate ideas to do more with less.

I highly recommend Change and Innovation Through Brainstorming to the Construction, Retail, and Education industries!

Documenting Discipline training video

HR Managers are confronted regularly by managers who need conflict resolution advice. The tricky thing when it comes to performance management is to document every interaction or conversation with an employee to protect yourself as a manager.  The Documenting Discipline training video gives a manager the tools to effectively and legally confront performance issues. The video also highlights the 4-step FOSA system: Facts, Objectives, Solutions, and Actions.  Every HR department needs this video in their library to effectively teach their managers on legalities when it comes to documenting discipline.

Your Summit Awaits Training Video

My favorite videos always seem to be the customer service and motivational training pieces.  The Your Summit Awaits motivational training video is one of my favorites.  It is a story about mountaineer, Jamie Clarke who shares his experiences while climbing Mt. Everest.  It took him 3 times, but he was able to summit after much hard work, determination, and teamwork.  Your Summit Awaits is perfect for all levels of a company or organization and will boost your employees' moral in any sort of meeting.

FISH Training Video

There are two best selling training videos that have set themselves apart from the rest...Give 'em the Pickle and FISH!  They cover the topic of motivation and customer service to a tee.  Besides the excellent production quality and the level of engagement, both films have been so successful because they develop a culture within the organizations and companies that train with the programs.  While FISH! is more of a motivational training video, Give 'em the Pickle is more of a customer service training video.  Both are a MUST in every businesses training library.

Meetings Bloody Meetings Training Video

If your company or organization cannot facilitate an effective and organized training video, the Meetings Bloody Meetings training video is the most effective remedy.  At a time when companies are trying to maximize time efficiency and productivity among employees, one of the first things that gets frustrating is boring, ineffective, time consuming meetings where things are repeated, miscommunicated, and UNORGANIZED!  Although Meetings Bloody Meetings is a dated production, there is no better training video on the market addressing this topic.  John Cleese does a great job in demonstrating a professionally run business meeting.  There is also a sequel to the video called More Bloody Meetings.

The Sid Story Training Video

The training industry has SO many management films, but The Sid Story training video has exceeded its shelf life time.  The film features Dennis Franz and the concepts of the film are great for management and leadership training, but it is just way too outdated.  The film was produced in 1989 and although this remains a best seller, it doesn't compare to the content and effectiveness of The Practical Coach, Keeping the Good Ones, Leadership Pickles, or Painless Performance Improvement.  Not to forget to mention...they are a lot better in production quality as well than The Sid Story.  I would however recommend The Sid Story to the manufacturing industry as the video is set in a production/manufacturing setting.  If you are looking for an effective management film though for retail, leisure or the finance industries however, look no further than the Practical Coach or Keeping the Good Ones!

It's Your Call Training Video

There are so few telephone customer service videos to choose from when training front line or call center employees.  The telephone customer service etiquette seems to be ever changing as well in a world where text messaging is the wave of the future and you walk into stores and see employees texting while working.  People are getting more and more fast paced and more impatient on the phone. This film is only among 3 telephone customer service films on the market and It's Your Call training video is your best bet!

I do highly recommend this video to front line and call center customer service employees for its content and effectiveness especially for the retail, leisure, financial, insurance, and telecommunications industries.

Village of 100 Training Video

The Village of 100 training video is among one of my favorite diversity training programs.  I remember the first time I had watched it in my Global Business course while getting my BA at the University of Washington and it really stuck with me.  Although it is SO short (about 3 minutes long), the video provides some astounding facts about what the world would look like if there were only 100 people.  Many businesses and organizations have been able to make a diversity training session into more than an hour long with this video.  The price point is also very attractive at $395 whereas most training programs are $895+.

LeaderFISH Training Video

The LeaderFISH training video is not my favorite leadership and management training video out there.  The price of $249 for a 6 part leadership video can't be beat though.  This video is a compilation of the FISH and FISH Tales films with just a little new footage.  The package is designed to be for each individual leader, but I recommend using each training package in small groups of 5 or less will be just as resourceful.  Since it is a 6 part training, it is a great tool to use bi-monthly for leaders and it will keep the training ongoing throughout the year.  The total length of all 6 videos is almost 1 hour long.  If you are looking for an ongoing training tool that is inexpensive, this is the right tool for you.  It will not compare to other management titles though like Practical Coach, The Leadership Pickles, or my personal favorite, Keeping The Good Ones.

Is 'Good' Enough Training Video

Media Partners has done it again.  The latest new release, "Is 'Good' Enough" is REALLY good enough.  The film covers the topics of safety, quality, and excellence to a tee.  Since its release, the video has taken off across industries.  The "Is 'Good' Enough" training video is motivational and perfect for a meeting opener or closer.  The statistics are startling and engaging and the retail industry has responded exceptionally well to the new motivational meeting opener!  It's definitely worth having in a training library.

More Than A Gut Feeling III Training Video

Year after year, the training industry wants to put out a new interviewing and hiring training video, yet no producer dares to attempt to outdo the More Than A Gut Feeling III training video.  It has been the number one behavioral interviewing film in the industry since its original release in 1984!  It has been remade twice with its most recent release in 2000 and it  has stayed in the top 10 best seller list!  I highly recommend this film if you want to take the guesswork out of hiring and interviewing!

Everyday Creativity Training Video

Well...I have to admit that Dewitt Jones' films are among my least favorite training videos out there.  They are slow and boring.  I need more graphics, music, and energy in a training program to keep me engaged.  The Everyday Creativity training video has not sold very well at all for the retail or consumer products industries, but I see it fitting and selling very well within the healthcare and educational industries.  It is a more cut and dry kind of video focusing on creativity and innovation.

On the same lines as the Dewitt Jones titles are some of Joel Barkers videos.  Wealth, Innovation, and Diversity is a great one.  Although still a little slow (for my tastes), it is a lot more engaging and the examples are very thought provoking.  If I had to recommend a training video on Innovation, Joel Barkers Wealth, Innovation, and Diversity is my top pick.
